So what do we do next year when the two backs you pulled out of the total running stats aren't here anymore?
I know the mantra is that we could not run this year and we have no talent at RB - but that is a bit misleading

When we decided to run against the best two defense we played - we did quite well

Wisconsin - we gained more yards rushing than any one except Alabama
MSU - we gained more yards on the ground than anyone else they played including OSU and Oregon

We had 4 - four star IB on the roster at the beginning of the year and two 3 star guys Cross and Ozigbo - plus we had Janovich at FB. In addition we have an athletic running QB

The issue is not that we could not run - it was that we made no commitment to the running game. This when we had a QB who is turnover prone. It was not how we ran the ball or even how many times we ran it, it was when we did not. The staff has/had more trust in a QB's arm who had thrown more int's than just about everyone, then a running game that had not failed them all year

I kind of fall in Benning's school of thought on this. The run game looked good at times, and we were able to rack up some yardage. At other times, we struggled to get out of the backfield. Still ended up with a respectable average in the wash.

I do think DL needs to clean up third down with just simple stuff, but then again, throwing a 5 yard pattern to a wide open receiver should be simple stuff at the D1 Blue Blood level. Even for a running QB.

As I recall that thread Tommie boy, HTO owned you with the fact that it was pretty easy to "read" the intent of that backer to blitz and not cover Carter.
Then you are directly contradicting Damon Benning...and probably every qb who has played the game. It's not about reading anything. "It's Division 1 Football...it ain't intramurals...brother."

Such hilarity coming from you. You got completely smacked around so you ran to your buddy Damon. You used his tweet that said, "He didn't understand down & distance. Poor awareness. Not about reading a defense."

My buddy Damon? RollingLaugh Shows how freaking stupid, clueless and ignorant you really are. I said the exact same thing, well before you flipped the script. You got your ass kicked, just like the good o' times.

Your act doesn't work anymore.

He's use to it, been my bitch for a long time.
