Danny Langsdorf- "But it's hard to convert three runs in a row. "

dingle, I do recall that game. And yes, I do remember hearing about Dr. Tom suggesting this. Keep in mind, he did not suggest to Bo to continue to do this repeatedly, just heaving up prayers hoping that we could hit one of them. That really seemed to be our game plan in this one (the Illinois game). I have NO PROBLEM with doing that on occasion, but I think you keep pounding it at them first, then try to hit them with the big one occasionally.......given the conditions we were playing in. BTW, I have been MIA for awhile.....hope all is well.
Life is good. I agree that we took too many shots down field but a lot of that was on TA. We had guys open at times on shorter routes but TA kept trying to force the ball downfield to JW especially. He targeted him 7 times for ONE completion often with 2-3 guys around him. He really regressed in this game. He did the same thing last year by trying to force the ball to KB. Hopefully DL gets him fixed quickly. Love TA. Love the way he competes. He just needs to go through his progressions and make better choices.

he's certainly smarter than both of us. You especially. Winking Winking You totally ignored the point that God himself sent messages down to Bo from on high to THROW THE BALL OVER THE TOP BECAUSE THE SAFETIES WERE BITING ON THE RUN even though it was a rainy mess . Keep spinning Tom.
Its a real stretch to use a game 7 years ago to justify what we saw in this game. The comparison is not valid any way and one play is not relevant to what people are saying here. Its also a real stretch to now say the play calls were correct but the TA just did not execute - in fact given the conditions and flow of the game throwing a player under the bus instead of a grown - highly paid coach is disturbing

I will agree to a certain extent, in what dingle is trying to say, Snohomish. I think he is trying to say that, in this game, Tommy regressed quite a bit and went back to the just chuck the ball deep mentality and obviously, made some pretty poor decisions. While I would agree that was some of the problem on Saturday, it is NOT the major part of the problem, IMO. I think our coaching staff has many more things to "evaluate and fix" than our QB does. I will still say, in those conditions, run the damn ball until they stop you from running the damn ball. Hopefully, this something they start to.
