Too bad. He would have been a good fit in DH's offense. But I'm sure he wants to play now.
It’ll be interesting to see who Dana recruits at QB because Lateef was a Satt recruit, right? I’ll be happy with whoever Dana wants.Lateef is a 5.9 4*. I'm fine.
my exact thoughts. This was inevitable, but still unfortunate
Plus, we got Dayton coming N a couple years.Lateef is a 5.9 4*. I'm fine.
Can’t blame him I guess but I think he could learn a lot from Dana.Bummed about this. I was hoping we had a guy that in DK that was willing to bide a bit of time and be ready to take the reigns as a RS Junior.
Doubt that will happen much any more.
I’m going to guess HH told him as well that he would be coming back.It really can't be a surprise that he doesn't want to sit behind Raiola twiddling his thumbs for 3 seasons. I don't blame him and think this bodes well for DR 100% being back.
Refer to my post a couple days ago about the overall quality of QB playing trending way down. Guys don't want to learn, they want to play and get paid. Can’t blame him I guess but I think he could learn a lot from Dana.
Agreed. Similar to Malachi if you are the big time QB that you think you are, you should tear up Nebraska Football. Was a decent player, but didn't ever set the world on fire. MACtion is probably where it is at.was never the future here many wanted him to be
He had offer to Mizzou that he committed to first, I think if he goes to MAC or CUSA or AAC he will end up back at a higher levelAgreed. Maybe I honestly know 0 about his talent and readinessThe portal is going to make it hard to stack talent via the traditional recruiting route. A kid like Kaelin can compete for a starting job at a lot of schools this coming year and next. He'll probably play a year earlier somewhere else.
Disappointed by this one more than the others. I have assumed with the redshirt he was in line to start at least two seasons if his development went as planned. I thought he would at least wait until after the spring to see where he was on the depth chart.Too bad. He would have been a good fit in DH's offense. But I'm sure he wants to play now.
He's not good enough to play now. He's significantly behind Raiola.Too bad. He would have been a good fit in DH's offense. But I'm sure he wants to play now.

Maybe Missouri? He was committed there before he switched to Nebraska. It will be interesting to see where he lands. No P4 program will be promising he PT.
Assuming Raiola sticks around to see what Holgerson cooks up, Kaelin is mop up duty for at least two years, and then he gets to compete with Lateef and a QB Dana lands next year. He must’ve decided he didn’t like his chances. What was a bigger surprise to me than his portal announcement was reconfirming to NU again after Raiola committed and he announced he would be reopening his recruitment. Either the gap between him and Raiola is bigger than he thought, or he overestimated his abilities to compete and earning playing time. Did he really think he wouldn't be riding the pine for at least a couple of years when he recommitted?
Iowa - where qb careers go to die. This is the guy I would love Iowa to go get; really impressed me with what he did in HS.
recently...I can't argue that. Hoping Lester is going to turn the corner next year with the passing game.Iowa - where qb careers go to die.

It also probably solidifies TJ Lateef's commitment. It really can't be a surprise that he doesn't want to sit behind Raiola twiddling his thumbs for 3 seasons. I don't blame him and think this bodes well for DR 100% being back.
