The Huskers are certainly playing some inspired ball at the right time of the year. How can you not love 3 double plays in one game?!

As my wife was getting ready for work, I told her the baseball team plays OU at 4pm today. Moments later she emerges from our bedroom with her Nebraska Baseball tee shirt on. She's now a walking commercial for the team... So, I tell her "You know, if they lose its all your fault".. she says "So, if they win that's my fault too?" I said. "Don't be ridiculous"

GBR. In case anyone was wondering its streaming on ESPN+ which I believe you need a subscription to. I actually do, but don't think I'll be able to watch too much of it....
The annual "save Will Bolt's job" campaign continues. Not that I think he would've gotten fired if MSU's right fielder had caught that ball, but we're going nowhere under Bolt. I hope we make it to the CWS and I look like a dip$hit (as usual).

Their #2 has allowed 8 total ER in his last 6 starts, never more than 2 per in those 6. The Heels are going to be tough.
They did make the CWS.
For some reason the NCAA does such a horrible job marketing College Baseball but the 64 teams that are in are IN THE CWS.
One of these days the CWS will get it right and run it like they do March Madness. Rank these teams 1-64 and create their 4 brackets and make it just like the basketball tourney.
Could you even imagine the the NCAA pretending like the basketball tourney didn't "count" until there were only 8 or 16 teams left?
It’s just fine the way it is. Why do people want to compare one sport to another. Baseball is about series, Basketball tournament is win and move on.
But why just be "fine"? And is it about series? Because once they get to Omaha it is not about series. It is one game and you advance. It is not like they are playing a 3 or 4 game series vs the same team.
Why not create March Madness but for baseball?
The coolest part of March Madness is the first 4 days, that atmosphere and electricity of win or go home. Of underdogs making a run. Filling out a bracket. All of it.
You want it a series? Okay fine, still create the same bracket as March Madness and each round is 2/3. That would not be as cool but okay.
😂 No it’s not. You have to win your bracket for crying out loud.
Just like North Carolina needs to win two more games to advance to the Super Regionals.
So what? If it was set up like March Madness you would have to win your bracket too.
I don’t mind the system at all. I’m guessing it will expand to 68 soon and we’ll see how they integrate 4 more teams. The only problem I see is ESPN. They need to sell/share some of their rights to coverage so EVERY regional can be televised on regular TV. But hey, I’m sure ESPN sells a shit load of ESPN+ subscriptions this time of year… 😒

I think they should just have all the players from all the teams do a colossal rumble in a steel cage dangling over a pit of lava. Last player standing wins the championship.
