I really thought Bo and company was bringing in the talent needed to compete... WESTERN MICHIGAN (Cellar dwelling when these guys were recruited) and WESTERN KENTUCKY have 2 picks in the draft so far, 4 FCS and I believe a D2 school have kids drafted!!! Words escape me.

Take this combined with the All B1G results and I "think" it is fair to say that Riley and Company have done more with less. That point can always be argued and someone will come along and present one.

The reality is we still have a long ways to go to get back. It will take several years of sustained recruiting efforts, not one or two. We have a good start but that is what it is, a start.

We seem to be in on some great WR and DB players but need some elite linemen and backers to complete the picture. Doesn't California have any of these? :)

Almost 4 rounds have gone by and no Huskers are sniffing the "Best Available." No Westerkamp, Carter or Gerry.

You know when Jake Butt hasn't been drafted yet that Cethan Carter has a ways to go.

There were some who shouted at the roof tops these exact issues in real time. It's good to see everyone now on the same page and wanting it fixed.

Or some who refused to see the problem and declare unreal expectations for this program/team.

Just let it go. BP fvcked up. Somehow he managed to not tank with the poor recruiting/development.

What's done is done.
F that. There is a section of our fanbase that still praises that lazy POS. Add in the fact that he trashed Nebraska to anyone that would listen, and litetally spent his time trying to get fired.
Save it. The kids all the Bloners claim that loved him, are the same ones he did the biggest disservice to.
To wrap it up, f that guy, and f anyone who tells me I have to just "let it go".

I'll ask it .. not sure of the answer

which hire did more or will do more long term damage to the program?

Pederson hire of Callahan or Osborne hire of Pelini ? .. my initial reaction is the Callahan hire but I'm not so sure

Callahan, I think brought in talent, which I suspect would at least make recovery from his poor coaching quicker
It may take a lot longer to recover from the horrible recruiting and roster management that Pelini left as his legacy

Easily Pelini. Callahan brought in great talent. Suh, Prince.,etc He had an outstanding class going when he was fired. Gabbert, Jonas Gray..etc..Some good seasons with Zac Taylor. If he had got rid of his buddy Coz he would still be here with success. He left with class. Bo doesn't know how to spell class.

Carter could get drafted soon. Westerkamp will probably be a free agent. Not sure about Gerry.

The hiring of Pederson was the start of this entire ordeal. Worst hire in the history of college sports.

Westerkamp will go Free Agency route. I would be very surprised if he got drafted.

So how long can we blame the state of the program on Blo?

It's like being married to someone who never loved you in the first place....you move on.

Bo's 2 DEs got drafted from YSU before any Husker. He brought Moss with him as a refuge from Lincoln. Let's see if he sniffs another late playoff run at YSU with his own players. My guess.....no

Bo has the last 3/5 of class covered.

Well, we're through 5 rounds and 182 draftees and still no Nebraska Cornhuskers have been drafted.

When you more or less take 2 recruiting cycles off because you think you're not going to be around to have to deal with the results, this is what happens.

that wasn't the question .. it was who made the worse hire ... Pederson or Osborne?

Silly question, definitely TO. Had TO just butted out and left Callahan alone he would have won eventually no matter what kind of coach he is. The guy brought in talent. Five or more years of Pelini and Nebraska would have been rock bottom literally.

I would say at least 7 years, depending on if we change conferences and have to re-invent how football is played as an excuse.
