Cowherd

I must be old, I don't get excited about this "hype" stuff. I do get excited about great football which we have not seen from a Nebraska team for a long time. Until that happens, everything remains in neutral/hype mode.

I do like how Cowherd is budgenoned until he says something good about us. I don't care one way or another, it does not affect what occurs on the field. It just make fans feel better.

I remember him going ballistic on Nebraska fans for having delusional expectations when Pelini was fired. He told Nebraska fans that we would never again be an elite team and Pelini’s teams were our ceiling and we just needed to accept that.
To hell with him.
Also made fun of the Pelini hire, saying no black athletes would want to go to Nebraska and play for a guy with the last name Pelini. Stupid is as stupid does.

Cowherd is a bitch who will say anything for likes. He plays the smug know it all guy, for ****s sake he described Iowa and their wave as one of the best traditions in football. He’s a doofus, only reason I’ve watched in the past is the big tittied women he had as a co host, now he’s got a squeaky brown Jew as his pipe stroker.

I believe your referring to Jason Taylor's sister. Yes, she wasn't bad to look at.

Focus less on the people saying it and focus on the fact that more and more people are getting behind the Huskers. Now we just need to win and use this publicity to help recruiting. Having national media think we are trending upward is nothing but positive for our program.

couple that with Iowa winning 8 games per year to retain captain Kirkland, and

Speaking of hype, they were talking on 1620 about how Howard Griffith said we have one of the most impressive qb rooms he had seen this year. He has seen everyone but Iowa, Illinois, Purdue, NW, USC, UCLA. Sounds like he wasn't talking just DR either. Wtf is going on here.

Maybe Rhule realized last year that if we just had a competent QB we were an 8 win team. The QB coach has to be helping alot

I know people hate him. First time I've ever heard him hyping us (Urban too). This is exactly what I said DR would do for us. The DR hype will be unreal if he has a good season. Have to win now and use this good publicity for recruiting.

He's the most popular sports talk show we've had for a while...far more people like him than not. His critics are just loud so you think there's more than there are.

So I went looking for data on most popular sports talk shows and it was more difficult than I exoected to come up with an answer, but I did find a pretty great article that stated Dan Patrick was #1, which is interesting to me because i have no idea where he is at on the TV or radio dial. Cowherd was #2.

TV ratings were a mixed bag, couldn't really find much on that I'd hang my hat on...but more than one article said Cowherd averages 128K viewers a day, which feels insanely low and would not justify a 6mil a year salary. So not sure what to make of that.

DP is my favorite. I think DP is kind of independent. I know Fox sports radio has him on some stations.

I like DP as well, he’s a little bit of a bigten honk and even though he tries to hide his tOSU fandom, it’s just under the surface, otherwise he’s fairly impartial….

He also describe Iowa as one of the great settings for college football. Never been there but assume its a big ole pile of yellow and black pig slop of inbred fatties.
I didn’t hear that, but can only assume it’s due to the attention whore iowa fans waving at the sick kids. The U of I medical center is a big account of mine and it is pretty cool how they’ve developed around the stadium. I’ve been twice, both husker wins, watched Crouch truck a hawk defender on the way to a TD and watched Burkhead wear them down in one of the coldest games I’ve ever sat through. That said, the tailgate scene and bar scene sucks for a game day experience.

No idea why I remember this, but I remember the first time i heard him on the radio, I believe he replaced Kornhole (who I also liked)...seemed like a cool dude and going back as far as that, he has always, and I mean always, been respectful to our program....now he had a tereible stance on Frost, amongst other terrible takes I disagreed with, but who agrees with everyone all the time? I don't do that with my wife or dad or son, my three best friends.

Rich Eisan has a show on Roku of all places. I just grab what I want from YouTube.

I could never watch an entire episode of Pat McAfee, but I can stand in five minutes out here and there
