Caught up with Brandon Helwig from UCFSports.com this afternoon, and here are a couple of notes of interest to pass along.
***Helwig said that current interim head coach Troy Walters is supposed to meet with new Central Florida head coach Josh Heupel today to discuss his future. Most expect Walters to follow Frost to NU at this point. He obviously wanted the head job, and with Heupel in place, it makes sense to most that he'll follow Frost.
***Tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator Sean Beckton also has an offer to come to Nebraska, and Helwig said Frost was apparently pushing for an answer to what he was going to do. Ideally, Helwig thinks he could be the guy that ends up staying because they need at least one guy retained in his opinion to have some continuity.
***Central Florida is scheduled to have three practices next week. They don't have any this week. Helwig said it's unknown at this point how those are going to be handled by the Nebraska guys. The entire bowl set-up remains a mystery in general how it will be handled by the staff.
