Final Average for the season was 36.4 ppg which ranked 116th out of 129 teams. Splendid job by a supposed defensive guru. Despite giving up 36.4 ppg, amazingly, 2007 was still worse at 37.9 ppg.

Man, that's a lot of teams. And to think only 65 of them have a legitimate chance at the CFP to begin each season.

I did a Google search for "FBS Expansion" to figure out when FBS grew so much. LIBERTY is moving up to FBS in 2019.
