Conference Rankings After Week 4

My opinion… it gets tough to find clarity after 1 thru 4.
  1. Michigan
  2. Ohio St
  3. Penn St
  4. Maryland
  5. Wisconsin
  6. Rutgers
  7. Minnesota
  8. Illinois
  9. Nebraska
  10. Iowa
  11. Michigan St
  12. Northwestern
  13. Indiana
  14. Purdue
Top of the east is going to be a brawl. Not quite sold on Maryland yet. They've looked good but haven't played much of anyone. We'll find out where they are when they go to Columbus in a few weeks. Indiana and MSU are bad... Good chance Rutgers can get to a bowl game this year.

Maybe living with PSU fans is rotting my brain (it probably is) but I think the Nits have a real shot to win the B1G this year. Finally have a quarterback that can get them over the OSU/Michigan hurdle. Whether they will or not and Allar keeps developing is another matter. OSU has the best win obviously with beating ND on the road. Michigan has looked solid if a bit underwhelming at times.

It's at least somewhat possible the top three each go 1-1 against each other and all end up at 11-1. Someone will win the tiebreak to go to the conference title game. Which leaves an interesting discussion/debate about the other two 11-1 teams for potential playoffs depending on other conferences.

As for the West... like you mentioned not much clarity. I guess Wisconsin has the best shot? Honestly I have no idea. It will be interesting to see who wins. Though I don't think whoever does has much of a shot in the B1G title game. Assuming the eastern teams don't beat each other to a pulp which is possible.

Outside of the top 3, it sure is an ugly conference.
