The 2017 recruiting class was already going to be easily the best group signed by Colorado since joining the Pac-12, but the Buffaloes added yet another significant name to the list on Thursday, flipping ESPN 300 offensive lineman Jake Moretti from Ohio State. Moretti, the nation's No. 167 prospect and No. 18 offensive tackle, committed to Ohio State in the summer of 2015, but said via twitter on Thursday that he will enroll early at Colorado. The Buffaloes now hold commitments from two of the three in-state ESPN 300 prospects and five total ESPN 300 recruits after not signing a single ESPN 300 prospect in the past four classes.

Definitely don't want to see them get relevant again. Will make it harder to get our occasional commit from there.

Rant about how the Pac-12 is just really bad this year and Colorado hasn't improved at all coming in 3....2....1...

Buffs are not a great team, and probably a little bit overrated at #10. But for Mike McIntyre to take them from arguably the worst Power 5 program in the country to where they are now is remarkable. The guy knows how to find and develop players, and deserves to be in the national coach of the year conversation.

And hopefully he gets a better offer and leaves there before next year.

Could happen, although CU seems to finally have an AD who's bringing in some dollars and would probably mount a pretty strong effort to keep McIntyre. Fan support is still pretty soft, but CU's finally managing to sell some tickets.

I would highly doubt he leaves CU as long as they still want him. That said, CU has benefited from the Pac 12 being so crappy this year. I've watched CU twice this year and was not impressed at all. They'll lose this weekend IMO.

I agree, Colorado being good again hurts our recruiting a little bit. Especially since Riley and his staff are familiar with the west coast/pac 12 recruiting region, I'm sure we'll be battling McIntyre for some talent not just in Colorado. Good news is we play them like 4 times in a couple years.

Yea, I wasn't real happy about that series. Going to Colorado anywhere in the late 80s-early 90s sucked. The last six years or so, no problems anywhere. That will change.

I have only watched them once this year but they looked like a team I would not want to play right now.

Everyone is missing the obvious...Legal Hippie Lettuce... Look at Washington's surge and good luck recruiting California next year.

Yep.

No sarcasm either. It's fact.
Yeah I really wonder how Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, etc., keep landing all those big-time recruits, since it must be next to impossible for college athletes to get their hands on any weed in those states.

Wow, you really took a leap there.

They really aren't recruiting all that well if you look at Offer Lists. Their record is an indicator of most of the P12 being down.

I live out here and I'm not overly sold on them. If they lose these next 2, as they should, they will be about where they should be.
