As someone else stated, this is style over substance. There is an old saying: "Excesses are their own undoing." I've seen it hold true so many times in so many settings. Think Barry Switzer's lawless Oklahoma teams or more recently, Bruce Pearl, Hugh Freeze and Art Briles, among too many others. They may well have some success but, eventually, it's all exposed as a house of cards lacking in a solid foundation. Then it crumbles. Sucking these kids in with all that glitz and hinting that may end up driving a Lamborghini when that school doesn't care about athletics, can't pay it's athletics department bills and doesn't have the boosters to sustain the subtle NIL promises they are throwing out there. This can't be sustained, and I look forward to the day it falls apart. Give me Matt Rhule putting in the time and effort to methodically build a program any day.
