He had every right to do what he did. Now the NFL execs have every right to do what they are doing. Think he regrets it now?
Ive said this before. Its exactly what happened.I never fully bought it was a political statement, I'll always wonder if he was pouting about not starting, then made it a social issue after he realized what he had done. But I won't pile on either, Colin was really fun to watch for a few years and I'm rooting for him to land on his feet.

It wasn't legitimate political statement. It was a fake one, designed to give him attention. He's one of those kinds of people.I never fully bought it was a political statement, I'll always wonder if he was pouting about not starting, then made it a social issue after he realized what he had done. This is the part that does not get mentioned nearly as much as it should. THE GUY HAD A GREAT DEAL! One that HE chose to opt out of. It's ridiculous that they make him out to be some sort of victim.Does anyone else feel like the media(ESPN especially) is pushing the Kaepernick card too hard...blaming teams for not picking him up...like they have some agenda? Seriously, these owners make a SH!T-TON of money for a reason. The guy simply isn't worth it from a risk/reward ratio, and the owners know how important the fans are. Colin made his bed(including OPTING OUT of his contract in SF), now he can lie in it.

Vick did something far worse than Kap. I just don't see much risk in signing him. He becomes a distraction, cut him.
For you deniers lets look at it as if it was theater.
It wasn't his stage it was the NFL's.
He was hired to play a part, he didn't do it well.
Rather than sit in the wings, get paid and be ready to recite his lines when called upon he decided to stand in front of the stage and ad lib thus distracting and annoying many of the paying customers
You wouldn't go to that play either and not because gas prices where high or whatever reason ESPN could come up with.
Go Blue!
What's weird is you see somebody like Vick, was never an amazing QB, went to prison, gets signed multiple times and plays.
Kaep was never an amazing QB, didn't commit any crimes, wasn't even the only one taking the stance he took...but can't even get on a roster. Gotta be more to it than just the protesting.
True, all he did was commit an actual crime involving the mutilation and execution of the country's most beloved animal.Vick didn't go out of his way to piss off the customers.
Go Blue!
I agree and disagree with this. In the short term I agree, but if Kap doesn't express his thoughts and focuses on the football, it all becomes old really quick. If he gets his game back, a team essentially gets a Russ Wilson type of steal, and can build around a low paid QB that got a second chance. I just don't see the risk. Lot's of potential ROI.Problem is, he's a distraction just by signing him. And that doesn't even include the next "cause" he wants to "support" at the expense of the organization.
Joe Pa just looked the other way...Vick didn't go out of his way to piss off the customers.
Go Blue!
Thank you. Maybe you all don't know but he wasn't just fighting dogs. He was killing and torturing them. It was sick shit what he did.True, all he did was commit an actual crime involving the mutilation and execution of the country's most beloved animal.

What a trainwreck of a statement. So because some people kill other people and that's a problem...police should kill people who did not commit those murders...because that helps somehow?Vick paid a price for his action, Colin is paying a price for his.
As long as you have cities where the hell 400 people can be killed in a small part of a city. No one is going to give a damn about the so called out of controlled police shootings.
When there is no outrage over it. High crime areas and police shootings go hand in hand.
Humans?True, all he did was commit an actual crime involving the mutilation and execution of the country's most beloved animal.
So...actually beating/electrocuting/killing innocent dogs or kneeling down and having opinions.
Man, it's TOUGH to figure out which is worse, isn't it?
I am sorry but he is not exactly the poster boy for "stability". He is smaller now because of his new diet (his choice as well) and is oft-injured. Not real sure that point alone is worth bringing him in.... and then you add in the hysterical media coverage. Who the hell wants more of that around a team training to play an NFL season?I get teams exercising their right not to sign him, but there is already a lack of quality QBs in the NFL, and it's laughable to think there are 60-80 QBs and backups (guessing on that number) that are better than him. There are no guarantees in the league. I think this would be an excellent opportunity to bring him in, possibly stabilize your depth at the QB position, and distinctly clarify how things work around here or else you won't even be allowed to enter the building.

Just so I'm clear on this, taking a knee and wanting police to do their jobs professionally and respectfully is the same as being a Klansman or a Nazi? And if those opinions were anti-abortion, immorality of Islamic female genital mutilation, build the wall or pro-gun rights?
Perhaps a KKK/Nazi salute?
I mean it is just an opinion...that is until its your ox being gored then we are righteously annoyed at the guy with the John 3:16 sign in the endzone.
Vote with your remote the NFL will listen.
Curious that we never saw a picture of Kaepernick taking a knee when the flag passed during a parade is it not?
Just makes you go "hmmmmm...."
Go Blue!
The part that's weird to me is he's far from the only player who did it. But he's the only one getting the, "Well what do you expect when you act like that" treatment. I'm not aware of any others who are out of job.I am sorry but he is not exactly the poster boy for "stability". He is smaller now because of his new diet (his choice as well) and is oft-injured. And before anyone responds, take a moment to realize that you're pissed at Kaep because you think he doesn't do his job professionally and respectfully.
So one could say that failure to stand at attention during the national anthem is considered to be worse than canicide.True, all he did was commit an actual crime involving the mutilation and execution of the country's most beloved animal.
There it is. You assuming you know why people choose to not watch, feel sorry, or are "pissed" at him.Just so I'm clear on this, taking a knee and wanting police to do their jobs professionally and respectfully is the same as being a Klansman or a Nazi?

Vote with your remote? Kaep won't even play on Sunday. He's the break glass in case of an emergency and another emergency guy. He'll be holding a clipboard unless he's actually good enough to start and win, then an organization is an utter fool to not bring him in. If you're tuning out because he's a 2nd or 3rd string guy. In all sincerity suck it up.And if those opinions were anti-abortion, immorality of Islamic female genital mutilation, build the wall or pro-gun rights?

By all means, please offer a better choice of words for how people feel who are sufficiently upset about the actions of a tiny fraction of players that they state publicly they refuse to watch the entire league. Since I'm telling it wrong, you tell it right. There it is. You assuming you know why people choose to not watch, feel sorry, or are "pissed" at him.
Here's the thing, you can sit there and make your assumptions about everyone else thay you do not agree with. I am fine with that. I roll my eyes and realize that even though you claim that everyone is unique and should be helped/supported/whayever the latest craze is.... it only is ok if it is the same stance that YOU have. We are never all going to agree on much, but to act like you are so superior is tiring, and quite frankly freaking laughable.
