It’s almost as if throwing back-breaking, completely ridiculous interceptions on the final drive of games hurts the team or something. It’s a real shame the defense couldn’t beat the worst offense in the country for Chubba
Or a very bad Maryland team
Or a Wisconsin team that had its hat handed to them by northwestern - a squad Haarberg’s Huskers handled with ease
What a let down by that unit
I don’t get the Purdy love fest, at all. I wish him well, but he did nothing while he was here. Came over from Florida State, “played nervous” (Mickey’s words), was always hurt, and then came up spectacularly, embarrassingly short every single time we needed him to make plays to win a ballgame. The only thing missing on the Iowa interception was calliope music and a Big Top.
Granted, there are a few posters on here who legitimately believe in Chubba’s potential. I can respect that. But his actual on-field performance was awful, and bagging on how HH played doesn’t somehow make Chubba “good” by proxy.
