My bad. Recruits coming so fast and furious I can't keep up. Still think he is Illinois bound. The staff wanted him. Maybe he just wanted to leave the state?
All good, with all of your posts, getting one wrong is going to happen.

I just saw something from the Illinois board, one of their writers said Nebraska. He feels like Nebraska put the pressure on.

Have to wait for the Fong bomb or flip I guess? Guy changes his mind more than a woman. I can go outside when it's raining and predict rain 100 percent. Doesn't make me a meteorologist.

TOS has been saying for a while that we gave him a deadline of the end of June. Then we wouldn’t hold his spot.

That timing could make you think he’s N. But he’s also fresh of an Illinois visit.

Could be @ Greg Smith said he didn’t know if Nebraska had a spot for him. Sometimes you have to shit or get off the pot.

I am not sure Nebraska is in a position to give deadlines to OL prospects. Especially instate guys.

I hope I am wrong and he pledges to the Big Red on Thursday.
Things change quickly. They are in a much stronger position now to pressure a commit than they were just 6 weeks ago.

Maybe. Clearly I don't have their board in front of me to determine where he stands but if they are allowing Caleb Benning to hold off and they are allowing the Poly kids to come in the fall, it just seems that they don't have the leverage to make Pyform to commit in June.

But if you are almost full at a certain position you have leverage. it might be a thing we have 1-2,spots on the OL and we have 3 on the board for those spots.

I am just saying that Nebraska has 2 OL prospects in Massey and Brix who are both trending elsewhere. Clearly the Nebraska staff has a much better handle on where they stand with those 2 players, but if you force Pyform's hand and he goes to Illinois and you end up with none of the 3, did you really have leverage? I simply believe that it is too early to give a player a deadline, especially a decently ranked OL from instate.

I totally understand and agree on the swing and miss on all. Hopefully it means we are in good shape with the others.

On the other side of the coin, if you put the thumb screws on a guy, maybe he "commits" to hold a place at NU, but signs somewhere else in December. I say don't put deadlines on guys, just keep recruiting until you get guys who you are fairly certain are N and shut it down.
