BOR approved. All of the Regents on board with alcohol sales except

Wait for people to get vomited on. It's so nice for kids to see that. And getting beer spilled on innocent bystanders? Nice smell your clothes all the way home. Plus the fights. Nebraska will get what it deserves...

Why are they spilling their beers on people?

You know how protective people are with a 12 dollar beer? Very...very protective.

And if it does spill it seems like you think it will be all 16 ounces that spill directly on someone?

And why are we vomiting on people? In 20+ years of going to bars and games, I have seen one person throw up, at a bar, one of my friends. It was not from drinking, we had just ordered drinks, it was from something he had just eaten.

And in all my time going to bars and games, I have seen one fight. It was at a cigar bar. Between "rich educated" older men.

I grew up in the Devaney years smelling cigars & whisky on every guy's breath.

It's baseball I'm most happy about. It's the American way!
⚾ + 🌭 + 🍺 = 😎
My first NU game when I was a kid I was fascinated by a guy next to us who had two sets of binoculars. One he looked through and one he unscrewed the "lens" and drank from. A very clever whiskey flask.

99.99% of people will.be fine drinking beer at a Husker event. As far as the vomit concern, that’s not usually beer induced. I won’t buy beer at a game but I don’t get why others can’t. All of the luxury suites already are stocked with booze. This should be a non issue

I was in a box a few years ago and me and my friends were the first ones there. We started pounding beers. The attendant came in and was like "Do you guys need anything...whoaaaa, what are you doing, you can drink in here, poor those out" and went to the fridge and made us poor out like 12 more beers.

I was in shock. She left and shortly after the owners showed up and I told her what happened and she goes "Oh, did you not have your beers in a red cup, that was the problem, it has to be in a red cup, don't worry about it"

She then unlocked one of the cabinets and it was fully stocked with 10 or bottles of booze and a few cases of beer.

We all need to vote out Kathy Wilmot next time she's up for re-election. We cannot let these out of touch views have any affect on Nebraska athletics or revenue moving forward. This was the easiest decision ever. What else is she going to vote against that she thinks is the devil? Its a different era and we can't fall behind.
We all can’t vote her out. Only the people in her district can.

I’ve been to many sporting events across the country, all or most served alcoholic beverages. Some of them right here in Nebraska…(soulless heathens!) Pinnacle Bank arena, CHI center, College World Series, Storm Chasers and I’ve never once had beer spilled on me or been puked on. But I probably have some rare super power than repels booze and vomit…

Lucky you!

I have had 3 arms broken, I was spit on, I had 36 totally full beers dumped on me, I had my wallet and identity stolen, I was forced to shotgun urine and my shoes were stolen

No joke, and that happened BEFORE kickoff at a stadium where they served beer.

You DO NOT want to hear what happend to me by the second quarter.

Getting gang raped by a drunken mob in a pool of vomit made you the man you are today. Nothing to be ashamed brother…✊🏻

I've seen fights in the stadium. I've seen people pissing in the concourse. I've seen fights at tailgates. I've seen fights outside the bars after the games. People spilling half a souvenir cup pop happens nearly every game.

It will be fine. It isn't like it will be $1 Jaeger bombs during the 2nd quarter. These are high priced beers. People underestimate how cheap Nebraskans are. I doubt anyone in my family will buy beer.

We are cheep 🤣 I’ll probably have 2-3 beers, but that’s about it.

So incredibly dumb. Alcohol sales, legalized cannabis, and state wide gambling/casinos. All states will eventually get there. In the interim, states are just throwing away money based on ridiculous, moral optics.

This is really the only thought that matters.

It is clearly going to happen and it is clearly NOT going to end up not happening. So embrace it.

I have no idea how easy pot is to grow but why not let farmers lease out their land to regular dudes that want to grow and they can grow it and sell it at like Potfests, just like we have Beerfests. Create a coolness about it. And TAX THE **** out of it.

If you wife or girlfriend has big boobs its easy to smuggle booze in.

My wife and just got back the ELO concert in Denver. It was incredible! At the end as things were winding down, someone had to light up a joint. It immediately filled that end of the stands. We could smell it all the way back to the motel.

I didn't mean it as a positive - more of an oddity given they are surrounded by states with these things and lose revenue to all surrounding states.

Not good when you're the dumb one in a group with Mississippi and Louisiana

People smoke weed at concerts? Is this new? We must alert the church elders!! Eek
Years ago, I went to see The Wallflowers and Third Eye Blind with my late wife. When the youngsters in front of us lit up a joint, my religious conservative wife leans over and says loudly what are they doing? I say, I don't know but I wish they'd pass it back here!

Odds are very good that anybody puking at a game will be a student who either pounded too many in the pregame or snuck a fifth of something in to the game.

I watched a woman pretty much black out in the first half of the Texas Tech game back in 2001, her friend had to drag her out. Dumb bitch drank herself out of a great game between Eric Crouch and Kliff Kingsbury.

If people are going to be drinking themselves unconscious in the stadium anyway, might as well try and make 'em pay the U to do it.
