Sophomore Nebraska cornerback Boaz Joseph was cited this past week for for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession by University Police. Also cited with Joseph was former Husker DB Ishmail Jackson, who is the nephew of actor Matt Damon.
Jackson left the program in 2014, while Joseph played in five games this past fall. Here is the full rundown on the arrest from the police report linked below.
“Coach Riley and athletics administration are aware of the incident," the University said an official statement. "We have no additional comment at this time.”
On 4-16-15 at approx. 1515 hrs., A search warrant was executed at 711 Folsom Lane #44 reference an ongoing fraud investigation (15001089). During the service of the search warrant, several items of drug contraband were located and seized. Deandre K. Pippens was contacted and found to be in possession of .5 g marijuana and a digital scale with marijuana residue. Boaz Joseph was contacted and found to be in possession of a tin containing 3.3 g marijuana and a marijuana grinder. Ishmail Jackson was contacted and found to be in possession of a marijuana pipe. Pippens and Joseph were cited/released for Posssession of Marijuana < 1 ounce and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jackson was cited/released for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
