Give me the same five players and Self on one bench and Roy on the other and I will bet on Self all day long and twice on Sundays.
Not if it's in the NCAA tournament. Don't trust Self under those conditions.

Yeah an agent paying for a family dinner is Roy paying players..proof or gtfo.
How many OADS has Roy recruited to UNC since 2003? And both left way to early for money.
He isn't getting the best talent and still has 3 NCs and has to play in a tougher conference which he consistently wins.
Self is not on Roy's level. All we know his one championship was a fluke.

As far as one and dones for Roy at UNC, you should follow basketball recruiting a little. One and done talent won't touch Roy because top level talent was going there to die. He was getting top fecrits that dramatically dropped after they got to NC.
He was getting top talent that was not NBA ready.
He had 7 olayers go the league iff if one team..you dont know what the hell you are talking about...I watch more college basketbalk than you take breathes..

3 NCs to 1 And has had the top college basketball program the last 2 years in America. With less talent than Duke or Kentucky.
And Roy will win at least one more before he retires.
At the same institution, Self did much better than Roy. And you can't deny head-to-head Self being 4-1 vs Huckleberry. Roy might be a better recruiter, but it would appear Self does better with lesser recruiting.
Bill Burns tried to hire self and was let to know that Nebraska was not a basketball destination
They all stayed at least 3 years in school when all other players ranked as high as those guys left after two years or less. You're clearly clueless on the matter. Do you want a rundown of top 20 recruits that flamed out at NC and had to stay in school because they were flaming out under Roy?

Do you guys not realize in college basketball that finishing 6th place in your conference and going to the elite eight is a better year than winning your conference and losing in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament?

See a pattern here? Many of the guys lost millions of dollars because they DROPPED as prospects once setting foot in C Hill. Roy has a pitiful track record developing top tier recruits for the next level. It's comical it's so bad.
Barnes is the only player that was considered a top 5 NBA pick coming outo of high school.
Justin Jackson couldn't hit wide open 3' his freshmen year, and he was suppose to be a top pick....
If you watched one UNC game you knew damn well 99% of those guys were not NBA ready or suffered injury.
James McAdoo had no real game his freshmen year.
