Are they making a run in the “losers” bracket? If so, that makes sense. You do realize Iowa is still playing?
Nope…but everyone who watches it loses.Iowa vs Purdue. Who does a Husker baseball fan root for in this one? Can they both lose?
looks like we found @Xavierthered's twitter handle
Not an Iowa fan but looking forward to watching Michigan-Rutgers for the championship.looks like we found @Xavierthered's twitter handle
Your an idiot. Not an Iowa fan but looking forward to watching Michigan-Rutgers for the championship.
Rutgers to a bowl game - an NCAA basketball tourney bid and potential baseball tourney bid while Neb dreams of qualifying for simply one of those
Neb needs to pray that the big ten never adopts a relegation policy whereby they demote its most worthless member in favor of a more valuable summit league program
Iowa sucks. Not an Iowa fan but looking forward to watching Michigan-Rutgers for the championship.

Big liar.Not an Iowa fan
I haven’t seen his press conference after the championship game but doesn’t Michigan’s head coach need to be proactive and suspend his pitcher for the remainder of the year? It’s kind of a big deal, right?Maybe I missed it in here, but didn't a Michigan pitcher get the heave ho for Phil Niekroing the ball?
Dude went to the dugout like a guilty dog that shit on your floor.
Not sure I can ever recall a college baseball pitcher getting the boot.
See ya Iowa trash. Your obsession with Husker football is noted and I assume you’ll be back. Husker football has ruined many an Iowa fan, you’re not the first……Erroneous!! I’m not an Iowa fan
big Husker fan - in fact I showed up for day 1 of the baseball tourney adorned from head to toe in my favorite Husker gear and let me tell you I was shocked at the reception I received
it wasn’t hate or disdain - as these are often signs of respect -
no it was something far, far worse - it was pity - I saw it directed at all the other Husker fans as well - people felt genuine sorrow that we are fans of such a sad program
I saw it from other fans, the players and coaches. In fact between innings the first base umpire came over just to say how sorry he was
I miss the days of people yelling “Nebraska sucks!” - it is a sign of respect and jealousy
now people just shake their heads and silently mouth “I’m so sorry” 😢

for those keeping track, this is exactly what happened (again)I cannot wait to fade every B1G team that reaches regionals
cashing in on the B1G's failures in the postseason is one of my favorite past times!
Early line for FBfor those keeping track, this is exactly what happened (again)
you're welcome for all those who hopped on board and went 3-0 in regional finals games, all of which were easy money betting against the B1G
**maryland game not even close to over as of this posting, but let's be honest, it's over**
lol. just the best
Yeah pretty terribleBig Ten got hosed on a couple calls today. The Michigan one was an absolute killer.
The rule about being out of the running lane is a bizarre one, in my opinion, because often being in the running lane would interfere with the throw more than running in fair territory. But that said, the rule is what it is, and the umps can’t pick and choose when to apply it. The Maryland runner was clearly in fair territory on a play that required him to run outside the foul line. That’s why he was called out - not because of the collision with the first baseman. Rule probably needs more leeway but until then, that call will get upheld 100 times out of 100.Big Ten got hosed on a couple calls today. The Michigan one was an absolute killer.

Typical big10 loser.Big Ten got hosed on a couple calls today. The Michigan one was an absolute killer.
can't throw at hitters or fight anymore, so of course this is the resultFor awhile now I've heard a lot of "I can't stand MLB, they play the right way in college." So, where did all of these grandstanding punks come from suddenly? Earlier this season Melendez bat flipped halfway to the pitchers mound, we got guys flipping off the outfielders when he's rounding first, the standard "greatest show on earth" pimping home runs. What a shit show. Give me MLB any day. Too many entitled punks in D1 college ball.
The Michigan game call was a bad call , the call in the Maryland game was correct according to the Rule book, now they could of interpreted it the other way The base runner was clearly in fair territory which you can’t be , however from where the throw came from , like I said you could interpret the rule a different way and stay with a safe call, but you really can’t say the hot hosed , because they didn’t.The Maryland play in my eyes was a bad call..
Initially I thought it was a terrible call and that, even if technically correct, the ump should have said "no call." The more I watch it the more I think the Maryland guy ran him over on purpose. I could be wrong but I disagree that he had nowhere else to go.The Michigan game call was a bad call , the call in the Maryland game was correct according to the Rule book, now they could of interpreted it the other way The base runner was clearly in fair territory which you can’t be , however from where the throw came from , like I said you could interpret the rule a different way and stay with a safe call, but you really can’t say the hot hosed , because they didn’t.
The call against Maryland was the correct call. If he had been in the runner's lane he would have been safe. Don't blame the umpires for a baserunning mistake.Nothing like the umpires deciding the game. Horrible calls on both.
Most people complaining seem to be focused on the collision, when that really had nothing to do with the call. I'm not crazy about the rule, especially the part that requires the lead runner to be sent back to third. But umps don't have the option say he would have scored anyway and allow the run to count. Maybe umps should have that discretion, but they don't.The call against Maryland was the correct call. If he had been in the runner's lane he would have been safe. I think some people think that’s why he was called out , on the other part , it’s just like the ground rule double, it’s 2 bases for everyone, in my opinion Umpires don’t need that choice, it would not be called with enough consistency. Most people complaining seem to be focused on the collision, when that really had nothing to do with the call. Yup you’re right. I had to educate myself on the rule. Correct call was made. Most people complaining seem to be focused on the collision, when that really had nothing to do with the call.
