That Michigan-Michigan State series will be exciting next weekend. Michigan has a shot at the regular season title, while Michigan State needs wins to qualify for the conference tournament.

Minnesota, Purdue, Rutgers, and Northwestern all involved in meaningful games against each other.

And of course, we need to stay focused against what should be an overwhelmed foe with nothing to lose.

Also, Ohio State might not be eliminated from the conference tourney. Need to sweep Indiana to get to 10 wins first, then hope others get swept.

Purdue won their series over OSU.
Northwestern won over Purdue.
Michigan State won over OSU.
Illinois won over Northwestern.
OSU and Northwestern didn't play.
OSU and Illinois didn't play.
And Rutgers is in the fold but will only play a max 24 games instead of 24, so that will lead to a percentage different than anyone else regardless.

I believe any Michigan State win over Michigan would eliminate OSU, as would any Northwestern win over Rutgers. (Or at least one win by each Purdue (over Minnesota) and Northwestern, obviously.)

Essentially, it would come down to a how a 2-way tie between Northwestern and OSU or a 3-way tie between Northwestern, OSU, and Illinois would be broken if they all finish 10-14, MSU gets swept, and Rutgers wins fewer than 3 games.

That's a lot to take in, but it is crazy to think that 12 teams are still mathematically eligible for the tournament.

Six teams are still mathematically possible for the B1G title. And in a real odd arrangement, none of these six play each other in this final week.

Minnesota is the only one controlling their own destiny but they will need to sweep five games in five days. Good luck with that even with them all at home.

Indiana has the longest road needing to sweep OSU and needing Nebraska to get swept, along with all the others losing multiple games.

Good luck to all these six but chalk says Nebraska has the inside track. I'm going with chalk.
