The Big 12 will always have teams that will have no problem with the middle and lower teams in the Big 10. Hell, the Big 12 champ - little TCU - knocked the Big 10 champ out of the college FB playoffs earlier this year. Expanding on that, it will make no difference how the conferences turn out, it will always be the same elite teams (think warm weather - SEC or Southern schools) that win national championships 9 out of 10 years, just as it has been for the last 23 years. Look where the recruits are and the high school districts that are football fanatics and develop talent- Texas, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, every now and then Florida, Auburn, FSU, Clemson. Ohio St. is the outlier. Maybe USC can get going...big maybe since the West coast is abandoning college football. ND? I don't think they - the administration - have the stomach for it - especially when the players - now professionals - are no longer required to be students, and I agree with McMurphy, that is coming soon.
Had to laugh at the Michigan reaction when they learned they had to play Alabama and not FSU.
