There were several other disappointing performances yesterday that I'd like to vent about for a second.
1. Buschini. Was looking for him to flip the field a couple times and he just didn't do it. Hit one for 26 yards. Overall the special teams didn't look as good as last week.
2. Gifford. I'll probably catch some flack for this but I'm just not a big fan. He always seems to be half step behind on 3rd and long when we need to get off the field.
3. Bullock. The drop by Bullock was brutal. If you're not as athletically gifted as other receivers you damn sure better catch everything that hits you in the hands.
4. Satterfield/Rhule. We were running the ball effectively and it looked like we were at the point where we were taking control and should have pulled away. Instead we keep throwing the ball and give up an int. I guess I"m stuck in the past but used to be able to count on a team running the ball until it is stopped. We were still having some success even with 7 in the box.
5. Thought Robinson would have a bigger impact once he got in the game. Now admittedly, I got pissed and went outside to mow so I didn't see the better part of the second half so maybe I missed it.
Of course all of these complaints are minor compared to the turnover machine we have at QB. Someone who is good at looking up the stats should go back to the start of the T. Martinez era and see how far we lead the pack in QB turnovers since that time. I'd bet it is staggering.
