Bellevue qb Daniel Kaelin commits to Missouri

The perception it brings by signing a top HS QB is almost more important then the QB actually panning out. Dylan’s commit alone would land at least 5 other top kids that wouldn’t come here otherwise. I guess one could say it FOMO
We need to get Dylan to commit soon! Sooner the better.

I read your board often and never comment because I’m not out here being trying to be an asshole. Mizzou has been stacking some talent in the QB room. Asking if you all think this kid is any good. He would be our lowest get in some time. He looks the part but I don’t know the talent level in Nebraska. I come in peace and asking your opinions
Had to game plan against him multiple times.

The answer is he’s okay.

Committed to Missouri earlier this afternoon.
It's tough to see these quality in-state QBs go to other schools, but it's hard to blame this one on Rhule. If NU realistically has a good shot at the #1 QB in the nation, you've got to go for it. But the timeline just wasn't going to allow for Rhule to go all in on Raiola and if he commits elsewhere, be able to double back and sign Kaelin. He was being recruited hard by pretty good schools.

Right now, I'm hoping for Raiola or nobody at all as far as HS recruits go. There will be 100 QBs in the portal with any luck, we'll find a decent prospect there. I have no desire to see NU go after a marginal QB from some far away place who is 95% likely to transfer anyway.

Missing out on a HS kid but then getting a transfer after freshmen year almost seems "safer"
