watching film on how wisc Iowa play D and OL because what I watched especially on D vs Iowa was extremely disappointing to see the amount of wide holes opened up. The cushion we give to a team not known for speed and missed assignments and execution by seasoned LBs out of position etc. This just almost never happens with Iowa LBs and Dbs short they are always right on our WRs and RBs with never the wide open spaces to run. Even faster SEC teams and faster Ohio state never makes wisc look silly and were talking a slower less athletic D in both Iowa and Wisc too.
How in the world are our CBs safeties farther off their players with dime and nickel coverages than Iowa and Wisc are playing base D with 3 Slower less athletic LBs.
We had players sitting at first down markers or beyond and still backing up on Fants square in pattern just to name one example
If you sit back then you can't also be back pedaling
Get this fixed!
