The same that NU has had the last 5 years combined. Excuse me while I go puke.
It needs to. A school like NU should have a first rounder every other year and average 4 to 6 players drafted yearly. Hell, UCF had 4. NCState had 7. We need to keep pace with OSU and PSU.I think that changes. I think we have 2-3 draft next year. But it will increase going forward.
Speaking of getting sick...I nearly hurled when I saw that there were two 5-star WRs committed to Oklahoma. The same that NU has had the last 5 years combined. Excuse me while I go puke.
Who cares how many NFL draft picks a school has? I only care about how many games Nebraska team wins.
Well, mainly because it correlates to wins. Kids want to win titles right? College kids want to get drafted and play in the NFL right? Is it a coincidence that Bama is always winning National titles and producing the most NFL talent? So, basically, better talent and better development in college equals more NFL picks and more wins in college. Why I brought it up. 56 years of putting talent in the NFL draft is important to many Husker fans. And the last 2 years of 1 Husker drafted shows how far we've fallen off.Who cares how many NFL draft picks a school has? I only care about how many games Nebraska team wins.
Its not even about the NFL. Its about winning in college. Who are the 3 best teams in the Big 10 now? OSU, PSU and Wisconsin. Who had 7 draft picks this year? OSU. Who had 6? PSU and Wisconsin. See my NFL point yet???Yep. I really don't give a damn about the NFL anyway.
Exactly, how much pub did OU get from having their Heisman winner go number 1? PSU and Barkley? If you don't think HS kids are noticing you're nuts. Its all great exposure for your program! The amount of money a school would have to spend in marketing to equal the exposure it gets with a first round draft pick is in the tens of millions.
High NFL draft picks beget high NFL draft picks.
It shows how far we have fallen. Frost has a hell of a job ahead of him. The fact that we even had one player drafted this year is somewhat surprising.
Yep. I think we know what rock bottom feels like now.And Lee was a transfer. Zero NFL draft picks from the pool of guys who started their careers at Nebraska. This is the bottom, IMO. Nowhere to go but up.

Bingo. We knew we were going to have to hit rock bottom before we started the rise back. Bama had no player drafted before Saban and look at them now.
After just two seasons at UCF he had 4 players drafted. He will get more than that drafted at Nebraska after two seasons.
If you think there is more talent at Nebraska than UCF in Frost's respective first season coaching, well, I'll buy whatever you are smoking.
Yet you are here in AprilWho cares how many NFL draft picks a school has? I only care about how many games Nebraska team wins.
That's good to know. Unfortunately, any good to very good player in college football does care about the NFL. It's kind of an important metric for any college football program that wants to be taken seriously.Yep. I really don't give a damn about the NFL anyway.
Totally agree unfortunately. What did the kids do in the 60s through the 80s with fewer teams and more kids on scholarships. It reverts back to making good use of your college education and degree only a small fraction of the kids make the pros. I'm not being sarcastic it's actually a sad thingThat's good to know.
