I know it's illegal, but has anyone ever been flagged for it?I thought I seen it a couple times earlier in the game but they were just showing replays of it and the clap to get the ball snapped was as clear as day and no flag on Bama..

Both d lines dominating the game, hard to see Washington making enough plays on offense to catch up. This 10 point lead feels like 30, but maybe they can get something on this drive.
Yeah Washington forced a fumble in the 3rd quarter that would have given them great field position - and they failed to get on top of it. That was the break they needed to get back in the game. Pretty much over now, barring a miracle.Yeah I saw a stat that Saban is 38-0 at Bama with a 2+ turnover advantage. Hard to see UW winning without forcing one themselves.
This is what it looks like when your QB can't run....easy pickings.
They're way too reliant on throwing the football and that IMO is the problem here.
The Washington qb looked like he had decent speed on one play. Hurts is also a lot better running qb than I thought. Alabama's not blocking well on the designed qb runs. This is what it looks like when your QB can't run....easy pickings.

Hurts is a great athlete but he's really done nothing today. Bama could have held a team raffle with the winner getting the start at QB, and probably still won this game. That's scary.....Alabama has a mobile QB who can throw.
Yes, he is a great athlete, a lot faster than I originally thought. Either Bama's not using him very effectively or he's not a great decision maker.Hurts is a great athlete but he's really done nothing today. Well Washington also has a really good defense, and they've actually played a great game today. But I agree with the comment above that Kiffin tries to get cute when he doesn't need to. If he runs the ball right at UW, Bama probably puts the game away sooner.Yes, he is a great athlete, a lot faster than I originally thought. A 12-2 record with a conference championship and playoff appearance? This is what it looks like when your QB can't run....

its very bad with an sec crew. was at the TENNESSEE/bama game this year and when we booed the refs for a no-call one of refs held there arms out wide like "what you gonna do"? its very blatant with sec crew. sec head office is in birmingham and when they came to TENNESSEE i reckon the refs rode with bama. usually bama blows everyone out real bad but tonight we saw a different picture with a different crew.Big 10 crew have missed a few calls on Bama Gump this afrernoon.
always been a habit of kiffin. go back and watch the bama/osu natty championship 2 years ago. bama was averaging like 7.1 yards/carry and kiffin starts throwing the ball every down. bama was the loser that night...was so sweet.Well Washington also has a really good defense, and they've actually played a great game today. Just ignore that Washington went 12-2, won a conference championship and made the playoffs. Sure they lost today but it was a great Alabama team.Yeah....play a great defense and a non-mobile QB is a liabilty. But go ahead and pretend you didn't know that. Ignore college football since 1990.
Just to protect Riley's schemes.
This board cries everytime in fear when we have to play a mobile Qb. But we are also the only team that thinks a QB facing constant pressure should have a high completion percentage. So who knows.

But none of that is good enough since they did it with a statue QB.
EDIT: My point; It's clearly and painfully obvious that you CAN win with it a statue QB. Can you win just as much or more with a mobile QB? Sure, but just as much can be accomplished with a non-mobile QB.
As @Mr.Scary13 stated, duel threat JT Barret didn't to squat as a duel threat QB.Not ignoring that. Not saying they are not a great team. But against great defenses, no mobile Qbs are a liability. No matter what you say.
Tommie Frazier and Charlie Ward changed college footbal forever.

Not many QB's (duel threat or pro passer) are going to do well vs that Alabama Defense. Watson still may, but I bet he beats Bama with his arm, not his legs. I very well could be wrong though on Watson vs Bama.
Made me laugh... True!Hurts is a great athlete but he's really done nothing today. Bama could have held a team raffle with the winner getting the start at QB, and probably still won this game.
I heard he was a dual threat qb.Chad Kelly (pro style qb) put up 400 yards against Bama this year....of course that doesn't fit the narrative around here.
Browning held onto the ball way too long all game. I know it's Alabama and the coverage is tighter than he's used to, but he needed to take more chances downfield.I can't imagine anyone watching the Alabama-Washington game and thinking the difference was the type or quality of the QBs. Except for one drive by each team, both QBs spent the entire day throwing the ball away and accomplishing absolutely nothing. Washington's defense was excellent, but Alabama's was just that much better.
