B1G Doesn't Belong in the Playoff

The best four college football teams are Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Ohio St. No one in the country was undefeated other than Georgia, and in all probability, they will be the national champions. That's 15 sec national championships since 2000. 17 if you count Texas and Oklahoma. In that time, 3 schools that are not in the South have won 4 national Championships (Oklahoma, Ohio st. USC). the last one in 2014. It's not going to change. The distance between the sec and everyone else is growing. It makes it harder to stay interested. That said, there are two sec's. The elite Southern schools and the chumps on the periphery - Missouri, Kentucky, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Mississippi St.

All five champions should have been in. Tulane should have been in. Alabama and Tennessee should have been in. TCU and Ohio State got in because of the eyeball test. It's all rather absurd today.
Getting in is one thing, the more they expand, the less it will mean.

Objectively, which year did the least capable team actually get in and win? The committee has gotten it right, in spite of all the complaining to add more.

That's foolish. Alabama easily could have won the CFP. Tulane would have upset someone as they did USC. It would have been a great 12-team playoff.

Bama Gump should have beaten LSU and Tennessee than..

USC beat themselves the last 4:00 of the 4thQ..

A coach once told me after we beat a team much better than us to that point in the season “practice and everything in the past is the prep work to this game, this test. You lose the game you weren’t as prepared as you could have been and the other team was.”

Scoreboard tells you how you did on the test.

We're talking about the national championship and your default is Ron Prince a decade and half ago. That says it all about your thoughtfulness here.
The Cotton bowl wasn’t the national championship or playoff game..

your Scoreboard is justified by your post..

There's Bama, tOSU, and UGA, after that another tier, way back, teams you choose to put in that second tier and then the rest. The difference in talent and depth of those three compared to everyone else makes for uncompetitive games like last night. I wasn't embarrassed for TCU because that was just a reflection of the game today.

I can see that, yet at the same time Michigan manhandled OSU, and has beaten them two years in a row. OSU who got handled by Michigan really had that Georgia game until the kicker shanked a FG. Bama really struggled this year at times. Georgia also struggled with Missouri. I don't know the specifics, but that game was really close. I just hope I never have to see a Big 12 team in the championship game again.

Coaching is the main reason OSU hasn't beaten Michigan the past 2 years and is also the reason they blew the game against Georgia.

Yep I bet Day is praying Harbaugh goes to the Nfl
The entire Big Ten is especially Penn State and Ohio State. Hell even half the Michigan fanbase seems to be lol. Insert quote here about not knowing what you have until it's gone...

I might be wrong but pretty sure that the kick OSU's kicker missed was about a 50 yarder..
you're correct

and it was that far because Day crapped himself on the sidelines

and they were only in that position because UGA played their worst game since COVID

Day also couldn't get out of his own way on OSU's second-to-last drive. Buckeyes were already up by 3 and looked for all the world like they were headed for a game-clinching TD, until Day decided he needed to "run clock."

Powerful as this Georgia team was, that game was there for the taking until Day outsmarted himself.
