This seems to be the classic "free speech" argument. It's a football website run by a private business. That business is free to moderate how they want. So you are partially correct. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, just not necessarily on a private website.

I look at it more as a right for private businesses to choose how they run their business. It's a football website. Its a football website, one where things other than football are discussed occasionally. A lot of us take part in that, I'm suspecting even you. Some folks call this home, are comfortable talking here and dont think to go somewhere else.

I actually agree with 99% of what you're saying here, and I'm a huge Elon fan.
The only thing I'd disagree with is the part about Yahoo's influence. The decision of what's allowed is from the people that run this particular message board and no more (at least that I've personally witnessed in being a mod for about a decade and a half). I've never once had them tell me, "Well I was told not to allow ______". It was always first person, "I don't want ______ on our boards".
I see it as a private business that has to draw the line somewhere because people will obviously push that line. Tbh I'm surprised they allow as much as they do for a website dedicated to Husker football.
I'm a white guy with a decent amount of disposable income and have rarely been told what to do since I left home. I fully understand that my circumstances would be different if I were a woman or a minority. I can suffer the outrageous claims without breaking a sweat.
