Any reasons why Gary Patterson would be interested in Nebraska?

I was talking with a buddy about the KSU job possibly opening up and that Gary Patterson is a Wildcat alum. We both agreed that Gary wouldn't leave what he's built at TCU, and the fertile recruiting grounds on his doorstep, for a lesser conference opponent in KSU. Of course Nebraska is a better job than KSU, but is it better than TCU? Are there any reasons why Patterson might think about leaving TCU for Nebraska should the job come open? Money? Tradition? Anything else?

Yeah, I don't think he is going anywhere unless things really go south and he gets fired.

And then at that point he would not be good enough for Nebraska. We do not want to hire a coach that was fired for not being good enough somewhere else.

If I remember right, years ago when he had just started at TCU, weren't they scheduled to play nebraska and he canceled it because he just didn't think TCU was ready for that? My how times change.

I live in DFW- Patterson not going anywhere, they have a statue of him just done recently and his wife is a Texan- nuff said. He would definitely be the top of my wish list- you want to talk about bringing in a culture of toughness, he's the man you want
