How is the hell do they always get away with scheduling such weak non-con opponents? 16-23 opponent record and no bowl wins nor conference championships in the 2016 season.
Nebraska's non-con opponents didn't fare much better at 17-20 record, but did have Arkansas State winning their bowl game and conference championship. Nebraska scheduled a home and away with Oregon back in 2013, the season prior Oregon finished 12-1 and in second place in both AP and coaches polls.
Yes, Iowa does have three tough cross conference matchups but will host Penn State and tOSU at home.
Sorry for another Iowa thread, lord knows I hate them too. It just bottles my mind that the herkies can never schedule a tough marquee non-conference team year in and year out. They are handcuffed with playing Iowa State each year and that certainly doesn't help matters but they can no longer play UNI as Big 10 won't allow FCS opponents.
So in short, fvck Iowa and their weak ass non-conference schedule year in and year out.
