All in with Riley.

You gotta love this board.

"I'm all N! I support Riley and his coaches and believe they will take us to the promised land!!!

I'm all N...except not for Tommy. He can't hit the broadside of a barn. When does that incoming freshman kid get here?
I'm all N...except for Newby. He falls down with a slight gust.
I'm all N...except for that fat defensive end.
I'm all N...except for our offensive line. They haven't made a hole all year. Can't wait for the recruits to get here.
I'm all N...except for our secondary. We simply need a whole new batch of guys back there.

OK...I'm all N for the coaches...Bo's groceries...not so much.

I can't take the negativity of this board. Why can't everyone be positive like me? We have to get rid of these trolls who won't be all N!"

Yeah...doesn't make much sense to me either.

More garbage from you. Plenty of threads with detailed discussions of the good/bad from coaches and players alike.

"enjoy the doom and gloom" you can't be serious. Why would you think I'm enjoying this? I don't enjoy this one bit.

There is a ton of negativity surrounding our program right now and Riley et al. don't deserve it. Some small coaching decisions have cost us a couple games in a transition year; however, there are far too many dolts screaming at the coaches when they don't have a clue what they are talking about. Check the update from KJJ if you don't believe me.

What a concept! yes the Qb has struggled but so has the Oline in run game.
We are second in the Big Ten in ypc. On third and fourth and three yards or less we have made it 100% of the time with Cross and Jano.

I'm all N. And that is why I will continue to point out deficiencies in leadership, execution, etc.

All good with that. So long as we are grounded in reality, i.e., no coaching changes in the first couple years, time to recruit, etc. Those kinds of things (e.g., coaching changes) are not going to happen and don't do anything to help the program get back to a better spot.

100% N. The penalty on him Saturday was perfect. He was sticking up for his guys and yet he didn't go ballistic and chew on the ref for the rest of the game.
Sucks to be 2-4, nobody is denying that, but give him time to get hiss guys in and stay healthy, we will be back.
I said before the season I would stick with this staff as long as we don't get embarrassed and I have yet to see that game.

I am on board. Its the path that has been chosen for us, like it or not.

You are really clueless.......They are actually trying to play to their strengths. The best players on the team are the wide receivers so they are trying to get them the ball. What a concept! yes the Qb has struggled but so has the Oline in run game.

Tommy has played terribly the last two games. Make whatever excuses you want for him.

Our Wr are average. They catch the ball at a 50% rate. If they are our best weapons were screwed.

I didn't catch all of the game (cubs were playing at the same time) but how many passes did we drop on Saturday? DPE dropped a terribly thrown off his back foot screen. What others were there?

I agree, but I think they are better than our running backs and our run blocking right now and that is why they are trying to throw the ball. I don't think they have any confidence in our line to sustain blocks in the run game. Problem is we don't have a QB to get them the ball and you are right we have not been very good about catching in the past couple games.

Listen, I grew up in Nebraska and I am an alum, so this is my team. Am I all in on the hire, I don't know. Back when it was announced it was an odd hire to me and I didn't really like it. I know that there was not a desire by many, if any at all, to keep anyone from the previous staff, but I do think that would have helped. Mainly for the new coaches coming in. I can't help but think that a coach or two from the previous staff would have been able to help manage the situations at RB and in the secondary a little better. Even if they are not those position coaches they would have a better idea of what some of these players could and could not do.

I had a pretty good feeling going in to this season that there would be a drop off in the win total for a couple or reasons. Most 1st year coaches have some type of drop off in the win total from the previous season, they are changing systems, culture, and player turnover are always huge issues. I am glad to see the run defense much improved, but seeing the huge drop off in the pass defense is truly puzzling.

There are some opportunities the rest of this season to get some things corrected and they will need to because coming up in the next 2-3 years IMO the schedules are going to get more difficult. Time will tell, I just hope this doesn't turn into a situation where we become a Tennessee or god for bid a Colorado.

I don't think this will happen. If Riley isn't the guy eventually then you go out and spend money on another coach. As long as our resources don't dry up this is always going to be a job coaches should have some interest in.

The buzz I get from my "Lincoln insider" is that even with the losses, recruiting looks very good. A lot of the kids we are in on are highly ranked guys that will announce late. The positive vibe from Riley and his staff has been a breath of fresh air for the program. The job Bray has done with Newby, Weber and Gifford has been impressive IMO. I don't know of any coach in football that could have dealt with all the injuries we've had on defense. Good heavens, I thought if we would have lost just ONE of Bando, MRI or a DE that we were totally screwed. MRI would make a TREMENDOUS difference right now.

Well I've heard that things are about to implode so I don't know who to believe anymore. It's just another sign that we have a divided fan base going on about 12 years now (give or take a few). I guess we'll all see. After all it's the boosters that will call the shots in the long run. What happens if NU doesn't win another game? Which is very possible.

My opinion? Nothing happens outside of a conversation. It's year one.
