After the Dowdell fumble…

That submarine tackle of Dowdell reminded me of the snow game in Lincoln against Texas several years ago. We were ahead late in the game and our receiver caught the ball. The Texas player submarined him and out came the ball and Texas recovered. They quickly scored and it was over. I hate losing to Texas.

My wife and my first game together. She had so many layers - she was like Ralphi’s brother from the Christmas story.

A couple of Texas fans in front of us were just in sweatshirts so we tried to help with some of our layers. He wouldn’t wear my red stocking hat … which I respected. Lol

What made it worse was Nunn had enough for the first down and we would have run out the clock with a series of kneel downs had he not fumbled…

I agree. He looked like the best RB out there. Much faster than I thought he was.

Way quicker and shiftier then I expected.

I’m 99% sure he was back out there. Just never got the ball. Which might be bigger punishment than just benching him. You’re gonna keep working, you’re just not gonna get to do any of the fun stuff that goes with it. Great being able to do that!!

Rhule said in his presser he will play as normal in the Colorado game. He went back in but didn’t carry the ball again.

I think about it more than I'd like to admit...snow had just started falling if memory serves...then we invented a way to lose to them, again.

Glad they benched him after the fumble, that shits gotta stop. Top level RB know how to run and take hits at angles where they don’t fumble.
That should sink into his head

That said, it needs to sink in, he is our best back. It’s pretty clear to me right now he needs 60% of the RB carries and everyone else can split the rest
