A Season on the Brink

With the season already teetering on the brink of a total disaster, will Matt Rhule elect to:

Sit on the current hand, which is not looking good at this time. Or make changes to somehow get some momentum such as:

1. Take play calling duties away from Satterfield for the remainder of the season.

2. With Raiola likely seeing limited action, if any, will an offense be more run heavy with HH getting the call up from the bullpen?

3. Having a frank discussion with Tony White about dialing up the pressure on the opposing QB? This sitting back and letting other teams WRs have 10 yard cushions before the play even begins is a recipe for disaster.

Please feel free to add your thoughts on what you think will likely happen or should happen.

I'M ME AND I ENDORSE THIS MESSAGE!

For me anyway, it would take Satterfield being relieved of his play calling to get me to watch another game.

The past two weeks the wife and I were on vacation out on the east coast visiting our kids so I didn't even try to keep track of those games but after seeing yesterday's game it doesn't look like I missed anything.

I think there's still hope. This team has played well at times. This Raiola injury opens up some new possibilities. Haarberg actually played OK last year before he got banged up from all of the pounding he took. And he's reportedly a better passer this year. USC does not have a great rush defense. So they will put an extra in the box and blitz like everyone does. Nobody has confidence that Satt is smart enough to figure out how to combat that and then do a good job of play calling though. So we're still talking about hoping to get to 24 points and somehow win. It's possible though.

Since Raiola is hurt, if he is able to play I would play him on a more limited basis. He hasn't looked 100% in over a month now. Playing him part time with Haarberg would be an upgrade over what we've had.

Nope, if he is hurt he sits. If he is not physically hurt, he sits. HH does give this team the best shot to win. He runs better, can throw effectively. Opens play action pass way more. With HH I think this team could win 2 more. Maybe 3 if they play to the highest of their abilities each week. Sadly with this coaching staff I think we will see DR and play below abilities at least twice.

When you say brink, do you mean we need to fire Sat immediately and use a Brinks truck to hire the best OC money can buy? If so, I agree.

5-7 is us and we’re stuck with the architect for several years. If we thought we’d hit rock bottom a couple times in the last decade, we were wrong. At least we had the ability to fire the coach and try again. This time, we’re stuck with preacher’s BS sermons.

Maybe we can become a basketball school😂

the biggest positive by far of HH being forced into action is that it prevents Satt from running his offense
