A few weeks ago (before the regime change) I posted about a young man who plays football for Sioux Falls Washington, Seth Benson. Seth is a verbal pledge to South Dakota State University. He's listed as a 6'1" 205 LB and he ran an electronically-time 4.6 40 (I trust those running the clock). At the time Iowa had just started to recruit Seth and he took an official visit to Iowa City.
I'm sharing this information for three reasons.
The new early signing date make an already confusing time in a young man's life even more so. We're trying to convince him that NOT signing would be in his best interest. Imagine yourself in this young man's position and then think about the hundreds of other kids making this same choice. It's hard, stressful, and very confusing.

- Seth is a huge Husker fan and would probably walk-on if given the opportunity.
- He's next on the list for Iowa LB scholarship.
