NFL - Notes-

Someone better alert Rambo about the number of assistant position coaches who have been elevated to a higher position! There must not have been many high school head coaches or Division III college position coaches who applied! Critics were up in arms when Nebraska made such a hire. What will happen in an NFL position room???

would be a stupid move by both sides.

Raiders need to find their guy for the next 10 years, not an expensive bandaid just to finish 3rd in the division. while not as bad, its comparable to the Falcons giving Cousins an insane contract.

if the reports are true that the Rams are interested in Darnold, they're a dumber organization than i thought. he will never sniff a Superbowl as a starter.

Darnold would be playing in a similar system with McVay as he did in Minnesota. Darnold thrived in that offense. The big key is Darnold plays bad when under pressure. He didn't really have a chance in that playoff game. The Rams would do fine with him but they have to improve their offensive line and get him another WR.

So if you’re the Raiders your difference between Darnold and Stafford is $10 million, which you get by cutting the great Minshew.

So between those two it seems obvious.

I’d still take Wilson while drafting a QB though.

he got progressively worse as the season wore on and teams had more film on him.

i just don't see him being the guy to get in done, not in today's league.

I think he's in the bottom 1/3 tier of starting QBs, but he apparently has all of the traits teams are looking for. Some analyst said Darnold played exceptionally well when he wasn't under constant pressure. So if he goes to a team that can run the ball well and pass block, I think he's worth signing but not to a blockbuster contract. I like him better than Cousins, Rodgers, Fields and Russell Wilson. There's not a lot of options out there. Maybe the Giants give him a shot. Their coach is supposedly a QB guru.
