another Pac 12 team won the Big 12 and an AAC team won the ACC regular season

pretty interesting

perhaps the Pac 12 was the best P5 conference after all, and the "top 2" should stop pounding their chests about how difficult their leagues really are

Don't you suck off the SEC?

the SEC has the best players, as evidenced by their draft production

the SEC has the most programs to have won a national title, also

best players, best teams, best coaches = best conference

none of the above can really be argued

But not the hardest?
also the hardest

but clearly not impossible since a Big 12 team just ran roughshod through it

however, I suspect the Big 12 is much better than everyone here wants to give it credit for

Why the playoffs are going to be so awesome. Won't be able to judge off 1 year alone, but the answers will be obvious over time.

The big 2 leagues added Texas, Oklahoma, USC, Oregon, Washington, and UCLA. We manhandled a team that tied for 1st in the current Big XII.

Did it take you the weekend and two days figuring that one out. Knew that Sunday morning.

it was more of an ambush than a manhandling if we're being honest.

true

Oregon walked through the B1G like a hot knife through butter
Hardly. Oregon looked pedestrian a few times this season. Most recently against Wisconsin. A team Nebraska beat handily.

Still, though. It is true that Texas and Oregon ended the regular season atop their respective conferences. It is also true that Texas and Oregon were stacked this year and would have finished atop literally any conference this year.

because regular season means nothing if one faceplants like Iowa did in 2015
I thought it was interesting because all the P2 chest thumpers here look down their nose at the Pac 12 and Big 12

and now they're looking up at teams from those leagues that have come in and finished the regular season atop their respective standings

yes and the whole argument is crap.
PAC12 may have been the best last year but that is all one can glean from it
one can also glean the B1G and SEC are not as strong as those fans (and our apologists) would like to believe

We will have to wait until the post season concludes
players will opt out in bowl games
coaches will not coach in bowl games
playoffs are a very small sample size

the regular season is the best measure of a conference's strength and what used to be a hypothetical argument now has actual data points

it's interesting IMO

Yes, how dare anyone challenge your logic
I don’t see any challenge from you

Just passive aggressive quips, as usual

It’s fine if you still believe the P2 to be head and shoulders above the others despite this new and relevant information

You said that the PAC12 was perhaps the best conference "after all".
What years do you believe they were the best conference?

Oregon and Arizona State aren't in the PAC12 and Texas isn't in the Big12
Oregon isn’t in the Pac 12 but they are a Pac 12 team

Not a single person on the planet would refer to Oregon in 2024 as a “B1G program”

I don’t expect you to understand this extremely obvious and straight forward thinking.

You are probably too stoned.

How long does the PAC get to take credit for "producing" their former teams?

Has Oregon received a single penny of its HALF share of the B1G money yet?

I don’t think so.

That’s how long.

Starting in ‘25 these programs will belong to their new leagues.
