Tomorrow is the 75th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941, the date which lives in infamy.

As a history teacher this is a very big day for me. Personally very meaningful as well. Some of you might remember the thread I started many months ago about books on Pearl Harbor and digging and researching to have an informed understanding of what all really happened and why. After reading so many books and accounts, find myself feeling very somber about this day. Wish I could stay home from school, knowing most of my kids (special ed with emotional disturbances) do not and cannot begin to appreciate the significance of it. However, there is one kid on the spectrum who is very intelligent and enjoying reading some of my books. So that's gratifying.

For any of you interested, here's some of the events - http://bit.ly/2h16a0u

Also, if any of you might be interested, there's going to be a live webcast from the WWII museum in New Orleans you can tune into that should be great. We'll watch it in my classroom. - http://pearl75.org/electronic-field-trip/
