7-5 Could make the Big 10 Championship

Pat Fitzgerald is a great coach. He could contend for a MNC if he went to a top program but he loves his alma mater and I get that. Wisky is down this year due to a bad Defense and a piss poor QB. They will bounce back, but I agree once Scott gets things rolling we should own the West.
I wouldn't call him a great coach. His teams have always been bipolar and he has a habit of making head scratching decisions.

You may wish to examine your record against my Cats since you joined the B1G.

.02 and, Go Cats !!

Good point 4-4, but how open do you see a team win the division and not beat anyone of their non conference games?

Pat Fitzgerald is not a great coach. He's a good coach for Northwestern, but he's not a very good game day coach.

Well PF and NW came awfully close to ruining ND's season, now didn't they? ND's starting QB is out for their game against the Seminoles this weekend due to a rib injury sustained against the Wildcats last weekend. This NW team has heart and no quit.

Fitz fields consistently solid teams despite very low talent levels. You can always expect to get their best shot, which is more than we've been able to say about Nebraska for almost 20 years.

They've earned their trip to the CCG, especially with that win over Wisconsin.

Not so fast. There is a reason why other fan bases think that Nebraska fans are entitled. You would have thought that all of the disappointment post Boulder in 2001 through today would have taught the fan base a little humility.

That scarlet "N" on the helmet isn't a big red "S" on their chest. All the teams in the B1G West have FBS level scholarship athletes, too. They all want to win.

UW is going to be formidable as long Barry Badger is calling the shots.
Iowa is Iowa, and has owned NU for the past 5 years.
Purdue is getting better, Brohm is a really good coach.
NW is solid, and has been a thorn in NU's side since going to the B1G.
UM and Illinois have been underachieving for far too long and are set in more fertile recruiting areas. Neither should have been as bad as they have been for so long.

Let's slow that roll just a bit.

Iowa hasn’t owned us for 5 years.. yes they have won 4 of the last 5 thanks to Eichorst football hire from 2016-2018..

UW is going to be formidable as long Barry Badger is calling the shots. Agree Wisc will always be in competition for the North along with us.
Iowa is Iowa, and has owned NU for the past 5 years. Smiling mike was the coach for 3 of those 4 losses. 29-16 All time. Im not concerned about Iowa going forward.
Purdue is getting better, Brohm is a really good coach. Brohm will be gone shortly, so won't matter
NW is solid, and has been a thorn in NU's side since going to the B1G. 4-4 since joing BIG10. Again 2 of those losses under Riley. They will have their good years as long as Fitz is there. Nothing to be to big of concern once we get rolling.
UM and Illinois have been underachieving for far too long and are set in more fertile recruiting areas. Neither should have been as bad as they have been for so long. They won't be a threat ever and will probably always be towards the bottom half of the BIG10

Remember Nebraska has had its worst stretch these last 3-5 years since the 1960s. That is now changing. The North will be ours most years starting in the next year or 2.
