The play-calling on 3rd and 1 has left me with MUCH to be desired.
I know this is an oversimplification statement. BUT if different plays are called on 3rd and 1 in a couple of situations I believe we would be sitting at 3-0 right now.
I get a 3rd and 1 play-action pass play...but roll Tommy out on the edge so he has the option to pick it up with his feet.
Also, if we pick up that 3rd and 1 or 2 with 1:30 or so against BYU, then the Hail Mary isn't even there for BYU.
Again, I realize there are dozens of plays that change the course of a game and I am oversimplifying things, but 3rd and 1 play calls need to be better.
