Problem is we haven't run any type of plays to even set up counter. No toss, no outside zone, nothing to set it up. We have no rhyme or reason to our play calling..

Counter goes hand in hand with Power. Riley and Langs believe in a zone running scheme. Think Bill Cowher's steelers (Power and Counter) and Mike Shanahan's Broncos (Inside and Outside Zone)
