2017 Rivals150 guard Thomas Allen, who just got his release from North Carolina State on Tuesday, just sent me a text message telling me Nebraska in definitely in the mix as he re-opens his recruitment.
"Got my release and Nebraska will be an option once I put everything together"
Allen took an official visit to Nebraska in September, and some thought he would be a Husker before he committed to North Carolina State in the fall.
Nebraska, North Carolina and Saint Louis were his final three schools before his initial commitment.
Allen was named the NEPSAC Player of the Year and he helped Brewster Academy go 33-0 and win the National Prep School championship. He also shot 48% from 3-point range (115-of-239) this past season.
