20% of the crowd just left after regulation

Why are you lying about that? I was at the game and the whole crowd was there at the end of the 2nd OT. Yes alot of people walked down to the North entrance to watch the overtime periods but that place was crazy loud at the end of the game. Shame on you for being just another negative nancy on these message boards. Posters like you are so dramatic about every little thing.

I just posted on our board that four people sitting next to me left half way through the the second half. I saw a few old farts heading for the aisles as before Iowa's last possession of regulation. Seats definitely opened up in OT but not as much as the OP is making it out to be.

That was such a fun game. Every time Iowa gained advantage, Nebraska would hit a three. I'm just happy such a young Hawk team played well on the road in that environment. Fran let them down though IMO.

I admit to exxagerating a bit. But not in my area (116). Had a row behind me have 6 in it after starting full until the end of regulation. 115 and 117 were not much better. And I was not the only one that noticed. The guy beside me asked where everyone was going, and the gray haired guy that sits in front of me just shook his head (which is one of the few times I have seen him react to anything).

I wasnt there but it was tempting to give up early even at home but to say 20 % is a big number and it sure didnt look like that on tv. Exagerate much? I have told you a million times not to overexagerate!

I was there as well. Maybe 100 people left early (why I don't know). A lot of people moved down and were standing by the exits so they could get out quickly as it was so late. Considering there were no students there, it was a late Thursday night in frigid weather, and we were 7-6 the crowd was phenomenal.

I was there also in 111 and didn't notice a high number of people leaving either. Defiantly exagerate by quite a bit.

I read this thread this morning and it got me wondering whether there were any tickets left for Sunday. So I headed over to Huskers.com and found 4 very low in sec 111. I was surprised! Now I'll probably find out they're behind a beam or something! Laughing

Last of the winter break games where they sell the seats normally reserved for students. I hate that they do that - but I can understand why. Back when I was a student we still had good student crowds during the break - but that was a LONG time ago when student attendance was much higher overall.

I did see that Miles bought 100 of the available tickets to give to students who are back and want to go. That should help a little Sunday. Really given that classes start on Monday they should have included the Sunday game in the student ticket package.

Why is it sickening to you if you admit to exagerating, on tv the crowd looked and sounded great except your seat in section 116.

How about you prove tv watcher guy? How bout you pry your ass off your couch and maybe you see for yourself. I love when couch guy thinks that just because the crowd was loud (during overtime? Crazy!!) I explained exactly what I saw. I said 20 percent in the heat of the moment. Honestly its probably not far off in my vicinity. I explained that clearly. like tv shows more than a fraction of those in attendance. At least I can respect peoples opinions who were actually there if they say what they saw in their vicinity

I sit in the 300 section across from the Husker bench. The truth lies in the middle of this thread. Several folks walked out the NE doors after regulation and after 1st OT as well. Much closer to 5% than 20% however IMHO.

Uh huh. You should really bow out. You have absolutely no way of proving anything I have said as false. Now.... back to your couch.
