Fresno is just one of those schools that has a knack for hiring good coaches.
I have no data but feel like Fresno gets to recruit a lot of overlooked kids in California that end up producing.
Listened to an interview after he took the USC job and it sounded like he wasn't getting the D1 interest he thought he should have. Said he decided to bet on himself. Good for him.
