I’m not sure why you felt the need to interject a response to my comment to scarletred. My response from an old farm boy like me to him was to point out that in fact how many tits a boar has is in fact important if you are planning to retain his daughters in the herd. You brought up your wife and kids. I did not nor would I. Find somebody else to argue with.

Maybe 18-20 years to be fair. He needs to have them developed from birth before he can be held accountable.

Fact is Donovan is a good OL coach. Now I will let you have the last word because you can't seem to let someone reply to your post and let it go. It really is obvious to many that there are some that really think coaches can be miracle workers until they don't get results immediately. Those that expect miracles immediately turn on those coaches when they don't get those results immediately. Bottom line it's a process and like anything built well it takes time. I called for us to hire Dana 1 day after the 2023 season ended.

I still hate the idea of running the air raid and hope we never do because it will never work here.

I’ve always said we should run an under center, power gap scheme. And that Army’s coach would probably do well here.

weird situation with their all-world QB after an injury that I don't really remember the details of

would be an awesome QB coach who would attract a lot of positive pub with recruits

Now I'm getting a handle for what type of candidate is qualified in your view as a position coach. No wonder you think our current OL coach is unqualified. Donovan has never been a head coach at a P-4 school.

Just so you know Kong, Holgorsen would never have come to Nebraska had he and Rhule not shared the same agent and developed a great relationship. Which is a strength of Rhule by the way. But it's laughable that you thought Dana would come as a QB coach.

I said that because Rhule was keeping Satterfield and knew it on that date. Oh, and also because we had not employed a QB coach for the entire 2023 season.

Donovan had never been the main OL coach anywhere, much less head coach, prior to coming to NU. He’d never run his own room and never recruited anyone in his life prior to coming here. He was less qualified than the child Rhule hired to run the WR room.

I agree Rhule’s relationship to Dana landed him just like I know Dannen’s push for Rhule to make a change in-season was the catalyst.

All of the above are facts. I’m not impossible to please, I just don’t think 6-6 is anything to write home about.

This season was an abject failure just like last season. I want to win.
