12th walk on is Colton Feist

:Dlet me guess. His nickname is Feisty? 6-2. 225 OT last year. DT and fullback this year? Where does he end up? TE or linebacker? LJS article says his teammates call him the Feist the Beast.

Looking like the internal in the locker room fire is coming back. In-state players who want to wear the jersey who will push teammates because of the fire they bring themselves. The stars will make the team go, but players like these 12, so far, will place an expectation of effort.

A poster on here used to have a signature that was basically Notre Dame had one Rudy, Nebraska gets a class of them every fall. Can't remember who or would give credit for it but it shows the intensity that I think will be more evident in all phases of the program.

Best of success to this young man and who take this route to pursue their dreams.

They played him at FB at the beginning of the season during their 3 game losing streak, before moving him back to the line on both sides of the ball. It was a good move as they went undefeated after that. He is a tweener right now, but I think he becomes Stilles back up in a couple of years. If things go well for him in the transition to college. GBR!

I was one of the posters that sarcastically threw shade towards Rimington for his walk-on comments when he was interim AD...

Well, are these walk-ons that are committing better than in years' past?

We sure seem to getting more lately (earlier than before), but maybe that is just due to the early signing period...

More on Feist:

Did you see potential

If you are asking me, yes there is potential. I watched a handful of their games on HUDL and there is some raw talent there. He had a game or two with 20 tackles from the Dline, granted C2. The most interesting thing will be how deals with being average even after a year in the weight room. Will his personality allow him to get better even when he is buried on the depth chart when he could be starting at Wayne state? It will be interesting and I am excited for him, his family, and the community of Yutan.
