    OT: So Cal residents, vacation advice

    1 day is all good in Catalina, it's a typical beach tourist trap. Not that much to do especially if you need a 3 day rental. Do LaJolla or Newport Beach for beachy trips. Just saying Avalon is a 1 day trip.
