It's been suggested that Raiola didn't get a fair shake under his former boss, and fortunately, he has an immediate opportunity to prove skeptics wrong. Ben Scott gives him an anchor at center along with providing an interior swing player in case of emergency. Nouredin Nouili and Ethan Piper both offer experience on either side of Scott while Teddy Prochazka has shown he has what it takes to be a starting Big Ten offensive tackle.
The biggest challenge for Raiola is finding another proper tackle opposite Prochazka. With an excellent showing, early enrollee Gunnar Gottula can make a statement the role should be his, while Brock Knutson and Mason Goldman show up in the fall to make cases of their own. That said, Nebraska taking a peek at a post-spring transfer portal roster for an experienced starter shouldn't be ruled out. Sam Sledge also signs up once fall camp kicks off to offer an alternative to Nouili and Piper, if necessary.
Defensive line coach and eight-year NFL veteran Terrance Knighton inherits Nash Hutmacher and Stephon Wynn Jr. to go along with the savage Ty Robinson. In addition, he's the beneficiary of an immediately eligible 2023 class crown jewel in Princewill Umanmielen. The four-star prospect joins Husker legacy Maverick Noonan in getting familiar with their new coach's teaching style early.

Vincent Carroll-Jackson, Sua Lefotu, and Cameron Lenhardt will arrive on campus later this year with hopes to fill any cracks in the depth chart. Be sure to keep an eye on Jason Maciejczak come August, an athlete with the skill to play either side and one sure to cause a tug-of-war between Raiola and Knighton.

Mason Goldman seems to have really good footwork and moves like a basketball player. Having said that, he still LOOKS like a basketball player right now. If you were standing next to him, you would think he is a tight end. He can probably be really good with another forty pounds on him. He has some growing out to do.

RVP will be a stud sooner or later.
I may have seen a picture from when he was younger but from what I saw he doesn't look physically mature enough to contribute immediately as a BIG 10 interior dlineman. I could be wrong on that though. Agree on that assessment though. Seems like the kind of player Rhule will thrive on. Probably would have ended up at TCU or Okie State or somewhere.

Need guys on both sides of the line to step up big time. Massive key to being able to win games is how our trench game fares.

1. Playing a lot of youth is never ideal
2. Depth… depth… depth

Gotta go with Ben Scott on the O line as starting Center and veteran.
D line I think Princewill or Jeudy to make an immediate impact.
These would be my picks as well. P U being here for Winter conditioning and Spring Ball doesn’t stink either.

The article missed Henry Lutovsky. He played almost as much as Bando at right guard.
