Moot… Nebraska is gonna win the B1G tourneyNot sure if it's been posted but what we gotta do to make thr NIT now after beating Francis and the cuckeyes? Does that get us in or do we need to win a game in the tourney still?
This is what I texted a friend after the win todayNot sure if it's been posted but what we gotta do to make thr NIT now after beating Francis and the cuckeyes? Does that get us in or do we need to win a game in the tourney still?
IF (big if) NU wins 4 in the B1G tourney they’ll be dancing and it won’t be as a play-in team. This is what I texted a friend after the win today
- 1 Win in the Tournament (17) - I can see post season, but it will be tough
- 2 Wins (18) - NIT 4-5 seed
- 3 Wins (19) - Bubble Talk - 1-3 Seed NIT
- 4 Wins (20) - Play in slot in the NCAA's
- Win the Big 10 - 12 Seed no play in
They aren't even listed in the NIT yet... to go from outside the NIT to in the NCAA without winning Big 10 is going to be tough... so I feel a play in is the scenario if they win 4IF (big if) NU wins 4 in the B1G tourney they’ll be dancing and it won’t be as a play-in team

I go off of betting sites for my data as there is no bias on these sites. Nebraska has a winning record against the 11th hardest schedule in the country this year.Let's see, in 2018, we were 22-10, 13-5 and fourth place in the Big Ten, and we got a road game in the NIT. I'm not holding out hope unless we go on a mini-run (2-3 wins) in the conference tourney. We're still at #92 in the NET rankings, too.
I should also add that in 2019, we went 6-14 in the Big Ten, and we got a home game in the NIT. So I guess the NIT is a crapshoot.Let's see, in 2018, we were 22-10, 13-5 and fourth place in the Big Ten, and we got a road game in the NIT. I'm not holding out hope unless we go on a mini-run (2-3 wins) in the conference tourney. We're still at #92 in the NET rankings, too.
7 quality wins and 0 bad losses is how Inread thatNET rankings
- We're still 29 spots below OSU, despite having better records against Quads 1, 3 and 4.
- We're 52 spots below Rutgers, despite having gone 6-2 in the last 8 games, while RU went 2-6, losing to us.
- We're 14 spots below Wisconsin and 36 spots below PSU.
- We lost too many Quad 1 games, 10, the name number as Illinois, 1 fewer than UM and 2 fewer than OSU.
- Maryland went 3-9 against Quad 1. They're No. 26. They completed a conference season 0-10 on the road.
- We lost games too early, and when we lost, we lost by too many points, apparently.
- A 92 ranking requires us to do some heavy lifting in the conference tournament.
- Wins over Minnesota, Maryland and Indiana MIGHT get us a low seed in the NIT. MIGHT.

Minnesota's ranking will drop us even further, win or lose. We'll have to then beat both Maryland and Indiana to get that into the 80s, which still might not be good enough. I mean, we just beat Iowa on the road and rose just two spots, while Northwestern rose seven spots after beating Rutgers on the road, something we also accomplished. Why wouldn’t we get invited to the NIT after beating Minnesota on Wednesday regardless if don’t go any further ?
NET ranking doesn't really mean that much. Graduating a lot of TV talking heads is way more important.Minnesota's ranking will drop us even further, win or lose. 20 game winner in the B1G with some of the wins they have won’t be kept out of the tournament. Late season performance matters tooThey aren't even listed in the NIT yet... to go from outside the NIT to in the NCAA without winning Big 10 is going to be tough... so I feel a play in is the scenario if they win 4

Gotta beat MN first. Hard to beat the same team three times…Not sure if it's been posted but what we gotta do to make thr NIT now after beating Francis and the cuckeyes? Does that get us in or do we need to win a game in the tourney still?
True that. Gophers are definitely playing better. Would have taken down Wisconsin last night if not for some late yips at the FT line and some very strange lineup decisions by the MN coach.Gotta beat MN first. Hard to beat the same team three times…
Against DetroitIf we don't make the NIT, perhaps the CBI tournament will be interested.
This will be only the third time in 21 games this year that Nebraska will be the betting favorite to win:I've got a bad feeling about ANOTHER Minnesota game. But then again, I've had a bad feeling about every game for the last month.
Fvck that they don’t deserve to be even asked with a Fvcking losing record..😡Against Detroit
Doesn't the CBI take teams with losing records?Fvck that they don’t deserve to be even asked with a Fvcking losing record..😡

Only reason why they’d get invited is because of the Woke game to break Pete Maravich scoring record.Doesn't the CBI take teams with losing records?
That would be a nice matchup. Villanova is not great this year, but it's still a big-brand program that would probably draw a very good crowd.latest NIT bracketology has the Hoiskers as a 4-seed hosting Villanova in round 1

Villanova has turned things around a bit. They had an injury or two and those guys are back. If Creighton gets them tomorrow it would not surprise me at all to see Villanova beat themThat would be a nice matchup. Yes I could see that. Jays still caught a break grabbing the 3 seed, though. Otherwise they would have played UConn tomorrow, which is a worse matchup for them.Villanova has turned things around a bit. They had an injury or two and those guys are back. Looks pretty bleak.. Always have to wait and see what happens in all these conferences tournaments.. There is over 360 some Division basketball schools..So are we pretty much out after yesterday?
