A little Mary Jane isn't going to lose him an opportunity, hell the NFL has millionaire wife beaters, murders, child beaters, this ain't shit. I would bet 70% if not more of them smoke weed! surprised they even test for pot anymore.
Yep. He failed a drug test at a job interview that he knew was coming for months. That is just plain dumb.Originally posted by GeauxBigRed:
Agreed that pot is not a big deal, but you know they drug test at the combine. You have to be a giant idiot to get caught.

For those in the know, how long does weed stay in your system for testing purposes?Originally posted by GretnaShawn:

It depends. Heavy use and how they took the test are factors. Blood shows it in the sytem for longer period than urine but for a heavy user it could easily be detected for over 30 days. Betting he is still smoking and will fail another that will more than likely be required before signing.Originally posted by TwinsRRUs:

I was surprised to see in the article that he hadn't smoked it since December (not saying I believe this one bit) and that he still tested positive a couple months later.
I don't think this is accurate. Don't know enough to say it's flat out wrong, but I think your urine time of 2-3 weeks is a little shy. I think it's closer to 30-45 days depending on how regular of a user you are.Originally posted by BigBL87:
Re: the drug test it depends on how they test.
-Urine test, about 2-3 weeks max.
-Saliva test, 3 days max.
-Blood test, 1 week max for heavy users, 3 days for average users.
-Hair test, 90 days as long as the hair tested is 1.5 inches or longer.

Things don't have to be addictive to be desirable, attractive, and hard to resist. I'm supposed to be cutting down on red meat according to my doc, but I'm sure as hell still eating it more than once a week.Originally posted by kchu5ker555:
It's illegal, it violates NFL policy, and he knows that. Yet he chose to do it anyway. That's a major red flag.
Some say that weed is not addictive. If that is true, then please explain why RG made this decision.
It's not "Bo's" policy, its a University policy. 3 strikes and you're out.Originally posted by Sooner_or_Later:
For some reason there was a perception Bo took a hard line against weed. Based on the comments of Gregory, it does not appear to be the case but that he was a win at all cost coach.
Who did Bo ever discipline for failed drug tests?
If I'm an NFL exec, I am not wasting a pick on a guy who cannot arrange his life to pass a drug test. If he can't do that, who's to say he can do the things in the gym and practice field that will translate into results in the Pro game. The legality doesn't matter. Randy Gregory needs to get his priorities straight. Compare him to a guy like Roger Craig. Roger was nowhere near as talented as Rozier, but had a stellar NFL career, hall of fame caliber. Why? Work ethic.Originally posted by john bames:
I don't care if he wake and bakes and smokes 15 blunts a day. What issue is there? He built himself into a top 10 pick. Besides being illegal what is the issue? He umm like smokes weed, which um is illegal, so I guess it is a problem. Let's send him to rehab.
