Zac Taylor, $4.5 million per year

has trev done his dd and offered zach at least 8 million per year?

make it make sense please
Zac has one of the best quarterbacks in the league for many more years. He'll only get better. He'd trade that in for a bunch of unproven college kids that he has to fly around the country to visit and beg to play for him?

but he's 5-4 and would make half what he could at Nebraska. and mickey is smart and could help, like say we got ok players but sure could use a joe burrow type player. plus he's a Husker.

just throwing it out there, haven't seen a vetting of zach on the board yet. and was supprised what he makes.
I'm ok with rhule..but in life one allways needs a plan b

His career got off to an early good start because he married the daughter of Mitch Sherman, who gave his brand new son-in-law a gig at Texas A&M that he didn’t deserve. Mitch also had NFL connections from his time as Packer’s HC, and got him a job as QB coach for the Rams. Rams over-achieve with their new young coach McVay who leads the Rams to the SB against the Patriots. McVay is hot news, and Zac gets promoted from Rams QB coach to Bengals HC simply because he is young like McVay and has the whiff of McVay from being around him. Bengals fans learn to hate him quickly. He is likely to be fired at the end of the season, but then Burrow goes off and they get to the SB. Can’t fire him now. So he’s back and the Bengals are a lack-luster 5-4. Fans still hate him. A .500 finish likely means that they miss the playoffs despite having a good roster with a good young QB. In that case, he is fired.

I don’t want a coach that’s had it that easy.

Stupid Bungles should consider putting together an O Line for their Super Bowl, young, franchise QB so he's not getting drilled every other play.

I brought him up a month ago as a dark horse. A VERY dark horse.

Are you sure Taylor will get fired? It is the Bengals. Mike Brown is suppose to be the cheapest owner in the NFL. The Bengals just recently got an indoor practice facility. It is only temporary, and now the team plans to build a permanent facility. Geez, most college teams practice indoors. Last year for the SB run the Bengals borrowed the U of Cincinnati's indoor facility. If Brown is not paying Zac much and if he is still getting OK results why fire him.

Just because they’re a former Husker, doesnt mean they need to be our head coach.
I think he has the qualities to make him maybe a better college coach than pro coach. We would be so lucky to have a guy of his character and work ethic to lead our program. The problem is his thin college resume. IF you wanted to make a splash hire though hiring away a Super Bowl winning coach would be it. Outside the box maybe but not crazy

Makes more sense to me than Deon.

How can you say that he didn’t deserve to be a QB coach for his father in law. Its not like he hired his golf coach. Zac was plenty qualified to be an NFL QB coach and we all know Sherman was the OC play caller. Zac has steadily climbed the ladder so it’s odd to minimize his ability. VERY smart guy and about the best human being on earth.
