As difficult as it is to watch this product on the field right now, it really, truly is a "re-set" or "Year 1" or whatever phrase you want to use for starting over.
Check out this depth chart for yesterday's game: https://www.huskermax.com/games/2017/files/depth_current.html
How many times do you see "sr." behind someone's name? I count 13 out of the roughly 80 names listed. But even more telling, when you consider players who were injured and didn't play, there were only six senior starters on the field, including only ONE on defense (Chris Weber). On offense, two were tight ends (the official depth chart has two TEs) and one was a FB. And the kicker on special teams.
This is mostly Bo's fault, of course.
So, we can legitimately complain about the play calling, the QB play, the style of offense or the lack of a pass rush. Totally fair. But I just think it's important to remember how incredibly, ridiculously young we are. There are sophomores littered up and down that depth chart. In fact, I'll bet this is the youngest 2-deep in the modern history of Nebraska football.
